Magical Movies And Shows To Watch Every Halloween Season

Here’s my go-to list of classic Halloween time shows and movies that aren’t too scary! Full of nostalgia, they will have you feeling spooked and also yearning for childhood.

1. Practical Magic (1998)

It’s magical, romantic. and has my favorite kind of scenery… a beautiful old Victorian house in a quaint seaside town.

4. Tower of  Terror (1997)

I remember being so scared while watching this movie as a kid! It’s the hardest movie to find on this list, which makes it that much better when you finally get to watch it again years later.

5. Hocus Pocus (1993)

A cult classic! I actually watch this movie year round whenever I am feeling nostaglic for fall or childhood.

6. Mom’s Got a Date With a Vampire (2000)

A Disney Channel Original Movie with the right amount of spookiness for me as a tween. Hard to believe it’s already 20 years old!

7. So Weird (1999 – 2001)

Hit the road with Fiona, her brother, and her rockstar mom. On her travels, Fi discovers all sorts of paranormal activity. I am STILL creeped out by the episode about bigfoot. (Season 1, Episode 4 “Sacrifice”)

8. Don’t Look Under the Bed (1999)

This movie is still incredibly creepy. As I watch it again as an adult, I’m impressed that Disney used to make movies this spooky!

12. American Horror Story: 1984 (2019)

The 9th season in the anthology series takes place back in 1984 at Camp Redwood. The scariest and goriest thing to watch on my list, but I love all things camp and retro!

13. Goosebumps (1995 – 1998)

Based on R.L. Stines best-selling book series. These short episodes will still spook you out!

Another show to give you the retro, spooky vibes! Netflix did a great job at making  a spine-chilling show and making me feel like I was actually in the 80’s.
